I found this little warbler on the sidewalk downtown. Birds fly into skyscrapers and their short lives are cut even shorter. I wonder who they are and where they are going.

I love the juxtaposition of the bird against the guidebook. It reminds me that John Audubon used to shoot the birds he was identifying and drawing, a concept that seems to fly in the face of the beliefs of most members of the society named for him. Odd that we often see these little ones in the city only when they've crashed into one of the tall buildings. Thought-provoking picture.
